Description

This photograph of Charles William (Chas) Fleischer on a postcard was taken at Skinner Studio in Grand Forks, ND (see back of postcard, below). Chas Fleischer was born on 9 January 1893 and grew up on this parents, Bil and Lizzie Fleischer located in Section 26 in Bohnsack Township in Traill County. Chas served in the US Army during WWI. On 18 January 1914, at the age of 21, Chas wrote and sent this picture postcard to a Miss Agnes Rustad of McIntosh, Minnesota, saying "Having a good time. wish you was here." Chas Fleischer never married and passed away at the age of only 38 on 22 May 1931. Chas was interred at Riverside Cemetery in Hillsboro, ND.
