In the Winter Term of 1892 (4 Jan-22 Jan), Blanchard School No. 5 teacher Esther Johnson reported attendances and studies pursued for 18 students, including Annie Brekke, Julia Brekke, Clara Christenson, Albert Ellingrud, Nellie Christianson, Hilda Ellingrud, Katy Ellingrud, Ole Grondal, Ole Hammen, Helena Hiller, Annie Holum, Olena Holum, Stina Holum, Lizzie Krogstad, Carl Nelson, Christine Nelson, Martin Nelson, and Nels Nelson. Blanchard Township School No. 5 was located in NW Qtr. of Section 8 (see 1900 map, below), about 7 miles NW of the Village of Blanchard, and about 8 miles S of the City of Mayville.
