Context

This book describes biographies for WWI soldiers who had parents from Eggedal and Sigdal, Norway, and who had immigrated to the USA. Two of these soldiers were: Henry Kalbo, Son of Mr. and Mrs. Loften Klabo, joined the United States Army on March 29, 1918, in Hillsboro, ND. He was wounded but recovered well, and was called home again on 8 May 1919. Robert Oliver Tovsrud, Son of Jens Tovsrud and Anne Tovsrud (born Enderud in Eggedal), was born on 1st Oct 1894 in Traill County, N. Dak.
