In 1981, the City of Clifford, ND, celebrated its Centennial (1881-1981). For this celebration, a 9" by 11", 334-page, red book titled: "Prairie Portraits" was prepared by the Clifford Centennial Committee, chaired by Maxine Martin and Myrtle Knudson (see book Title page, below). This book was dedicated "to the pioneers and forefathers who came to this area and stayed" (see book Dedication page, below). This 334-page book includes a number of chapters, for example, a history of Clifford written as a "Dear Diary" of events and Family Histories (see book Table of Contents page, below).
