A spiral-bound booklet mostly written by Anna (Hoidal) Oium, and completed by daughter Luella Oium after her mother passed away, aged 99, in 1972. The booklet describes the life of Luella's parents, Rognald, or Rube, Oium (1869-1915) and Anna (Hoidal) Oium (1873-1972), and her grandparents along with other ancestors. Rube and Anna had three children, Thomas, Luella and Ruth Oium. Luella also lived to be age 99, passing away on 27 January 2006. Rude Oium served as Postmaster in Kelso until his passing in 1915. Anna and her children then moved to Madison, SD.
This Oium family folder also contains postcards written to Rude Oium, Anna Oium and their son, Thomas Oium. These postcards were donated to the TCHS by Susan Larsen of Madison, SD, in April 2020. Susan was Leulla's niece.Cataloged By
