Description

A 30-page document in a green binder written by Eveline Kloster describes the History of Buxton. Eveline Kloster was a 1920 graduate of the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks and received the L. F. Crawford Prize in History (see Title page, below). The 30-page type-written document includes four chapters and an Appendix. Chapter 1 is on the Founding of Buxton (see below). Chapter 2 is on Early History, Chapter 3 covers Church and School History, and Chapter 4 is on Buxton in Recent Years. A separate envelope with this document contains numerous newspaper clippings about Buxton. A copy of this 30-page document by Eveline Kloster is located on the "Traill County History" shelf in the Resource Room (3rd floor) of the Plummer House Museum in Hillsboro, ND. This document was donated to the TCHS Museum by Oscar J. Sorlie.
