Description

In August 1887, Eldorado School No. 2 Teacher Jennie Patterson reported attendances and studies pursued for 20 students, including: Casper Bergh, Hannah Bergh, Manda Bergh, Otto Bergh, Minnie Bergquist, Louisa Bierman, Ida Gronke, Minnie Gronke, Willie Gronke, Amel Houseman, Anna Housman, Henry Houseman, Anna Keller, Louie Keller, Amelia Mergenthal, Henry Mergenthal, Willie Mergenthal, Lillie Patterson, Pearl Patterson, and Mary Rust. Eldorado School No. 2 was located along the Goose River in the NW Qtr. of Sect 34 (see 1900 map, below), which is about 2 miles NE of Hillsboro and near the Immanual Lutheran Church and Cemetery.
