China Cup & Saucer used by Mary (Arnegard) Swenson (Mrs. Andrew Swenson) in Bloomfield Township, rural Hillsboro, ND. Mary Arnegard was born in October 1874 to parents Iver and Gjertrud (Moen) Arnegard in Dakota Territory in a cabin located in what today is Woodland Park in Hillsboro, North Dakota. In about 1876 Iver, Gjertrud and Mary moved to a land in what became Norway Township, Traill County ND. Andrew (Tovsrud) Swenson was born on 17 October 1872 in Spring Grove, MN, to Parents Knut and Mari (Anderson) Tovsrud-Swenson. In 1884, Andrew moved with his parents and siblings to a farm in Norway Township, Traill County, Dakota Territory.
Mary H. Arnegard met Norway Township neighbor Andrew Swenson, and they married on 29 November 1895 in Hillsboro. A J.L.
