2026.31.1Description
As part of the Grandin Centennial (1881-1981) celebration activities [TCHS Catalogit Books entry 2024.599.1], a reunion was held for all surviving Grandin High School graduates that could attend. For the reunion, a booklet titled "Grandin School Reunion 1981" was produced that included pages on the history of Grandin and pages listing graduates from the first graduating class in 1923 to the final graduating class of 1976 when Grandin HS joined Gardner and Argusville to form a reorganized school called Cass Valley North (later named Northern Cass).
The first 1923 graduate of Grandin High School was Alice Rosenau, the only student in the Class of 1923. There were no graduates until 1926, when Lynn Ferguson was the sole graduates. Then there were no Grandin High School graduates until 1930 when Janet Falconer, Florence Gordon, August Grothmann, Marion Hunter, Arnold Thorsrud, Glen Vantine, and Violet Winterquist graduated in the Class of 1930.
The final 1976 Grandin High School list of graduates with 1981 addresses included Ann Backstrom, Randy Brag, Julie Brorson, Cheryl Christian, Eileen Eker, Scott Flesness and Darlene Heitzmann.
This Grandin High School reunion booklet is available for viewing at the Traill County Historical Society Plummer House Museum in Hillsboro, ND.Acquisition
