To celebrate the Nation's Bicentennial, in 1976 the Cass County Historical Society produced a 944-page book titled "Rural Cass County: The Land and People "(see Copyright page) that provides histories for rural communities, which are organized by Township (see Table of Contents). The Rural Cass County book includes an Index (pgs. 936-944) in two parts, Part One on places, groups, things and features in Cass County, and Part Two on people of Cass County.
