Description
The photograph shows an architect's drawing of the first residence building at the Traill County Poor Farm, which was built in 1883. The Traill County Poor Farm was located in Section 2 in Caledonia Township, about two miles north of the Village of Caledonia.
A history of the Traill County Poor Farm has been described by John Wright (see below). As noted, the first residence building was destroyed by fire and a second residence building was constructed of brick (see Catalogit entry 2020.37.6).
