Transylvania University Library

This database includes art and artifacts of Transylvania University. As we discover items they are added to the database. It is maintained by the Transylvania Library and the Director of the Morlan Gallery. We estimate that 90% of the art collection is cataloged here; 95% of the Moosnick medical & scientific apparatus collection; and 20% of the artifacts held by the Library's Special Collections department. In addition, Special Collections contains rare books, pamphlets, photographs, manuscripts, and the University archives. These collections provide a unique opportunity for students to incorporate primary source and rare materials into their research and coursework, deepening intellectual engagement and excitement. Our staff aids local, national and international researchers with locating and using the materials in the collections.
