Description

A baseball uniform, including a top, pants, hat, and handkerchief. The uniform is gray with vertical blue stripes; on the front of the uniform is 'Co. Engineers," along with a 'C.E.' patch on the sleeve. The standing collar and placket that doesn't go all the way down was common in the 1910's, however, the Spalding tags (particularly the lack of "&") have been identified by some as being from the mid to late 1920s to late 1930s. The handkerchief square (ca. 1914) depicts Bill "Sport" McAllister of the St. Louis Browns.
