Mr. Spencer [?]
[?] this me
had to inform you that I received
a letter from the [?] thing
to [?] to have me sell him my
property in Warren. I wrote
him that I should be there (pre-
viace) t othis but (unluckily) was
taken sick and it will be im-
possible for me to see him at
present. Would be very thank-
ful if you would try to dispose of
a part of the Lot to him or some
other person and take up the
notes which Judge Quimby holds
against me. By convening with
him you can ascertain how the
[?] stands [?].
I consider the property worth
about eight hundred and fifty dollars
but perhaps this information is too
high with you to sell it as you
think best. Shall see you
sometime this summer. Will
then satisfy you for your trouble.
Yours affectionately,
George M. Phelps
