Letter from Mary Ann Futey to her brother Joseph Futey.
"Dec. 13, 1944
Dear Brother Joe:
I hope this letter will find you in the
best of health. It has been a long time since I
have written to you. I'll always intend to but
I just don't. Every day I say to myself, 'I have
to write a letter to Joe.' How are you coming along
in your studies or did you give them up? Boy
you should see the snow we have here. They say
it is 11" deep. The wreckers were busy pulling
cars out of snow drifts. How is your climate or
can't you say?
Joe, as your Christmas present from me
I bought you a War Bond ($18.75), as it is so
hard to get anything.
Do you know anything about Josephine Patrick
+ Charles Agusta breaking their engagement?
If you do let me in on it. Josephine doesn't
stay at home now, she is living a couple of blocks
from Packard now. I guess they had trouble at
home."Acquisition
