Letter from Joseph Futey to his sister Mary Ann Futey. Page 3 of a letter, other pages missing.
"Speaking of old friends tell Blondenin(?) that I
said hello and that she should keep her hands
away from the ten-night machine. Say is Susan
Wecheck(?) still working there? Sometime when I get
a leave I'll have to visit there to see my fellow
workers and maybe I'll meet up with some new
ones.
Lately I've had a lust for reading and most of
my time is spent that way I don't know what has
hit me but I ready everything from magazines to
The Life of Napolenion, of which I am going to get
started on after I finish this letter.
Well it looks like all of my buddies are now
over sea's. Speaking of fellows over sea's my buddy
from Maryland, I believe got killed over there.
Neither the kid from Milwaukee or myself have
heard from him for over 6 months so I know
that something is wrong.
Well sis, I guess this is all for now.
Your Brother
Joe.
P.S. Please excuse the
mistakes + writing because
I am not in a writing mood.
