"Akron, Ohio, Oct. 6th 1894

Newton Falls - Ohio-
Dear Sir -
Your LEtter of recent date, in
reference to the alimony case of Huton vs Hutson
was duly received and I have delayed replying there to
in order that I might have a personal interest with
Mrs. Hutson, which I did last evening as Mantua.
I think I fully understand the situation in which Mr.
Hutson is placed and I cannot think that he is wholly
to blame. I called Mr Nichols into the case for the
purpose of the trial in my absence and I supposed that
would be the end of his services. But I am satisfied
that he is advising Mrs Hudson with the idea of making
more fees and of the case. Mrs Hudson said to me
that she would meet me at Ravenna any time I
would notify her by telegram to make a settlement
upton the basis of her signing a deed to the farm.
She will accept $500.00 and sign a deed for the
farm and release all claim to further alimony
or she will take $400.00 and release her claim
for alimony and not sign the deed.
If your client wishes to accept either of
these propositions, write me to that effect +
I will meet yourself and the parties at
Ravenna next Wednesday to sign
papers and carry out the settlement.
Let me hear from you as early as
possible
Yours Truly
I H Phelps Atty"Acquisition
