Thursday morning
Dear Friends,
I received your kind letter and was
very glad of the work. I hardly know what
to tell you respecting Miss Carr. I am
anxious to have my dress finished but it
seems finishing [?] [?] [?] to have her
[?] [?] all night to do it.
They are expecting to have a great sing here
on Saturday and wish to have me join them
and assist on the Second and if I do I
shall need my dress if it is a [?] day
Esther Wales sings that part and wishes to have
me sing with her and so she says she
will go home with me and help on the
dress. I dont know [?] is to be
done there but if you think it would
be [?] there vs. if you think
I had not better sing I will not
go. I don’t want to very much, but Mr.
Drury is very anxious to have me. He is
one of the choristers. If you are in
favor of my singing I need not come,
but if contrary have him start so as to get
here about 4. Zoe will wait until 5 for him.
I am boarding at Mr. [?] this week
Now you must do yours as you think
best, and I will be suited. I am afraid
that you will have company that day and
need my assistance. I hope you are all
well. If I dont come Esther or I will
Stop by 5- [?] bye [?]
I will see about engaging [?] [?] for
Next week when I come home.
