The hat is a cream color with a wide brim, bow, and fringe around the edge. The label on the inside of the hat indicates that it is from Saks Fifth Avenue. Thr label is similar to those found in hats from the thirties.
The hat was owned by Helen Hart Hurlbert, president and publisher of the Warren Tribune Chronicle; Hurlbert took control of the paper in 1936.Acquisition
