Born in Warren on June 19, 1864, Katherine Robinson married Charles Hyde in 1886, wearing this cream-colored wool dress with lace overskirt. The couple relocated to Pierre, South Dakota in 1887, where Charles became a leading businessman and real estate owner. They raised five children together before Katherine's passing on April 30, 1950.
