"Okinawa May 18 - 45 Dear Jean, Hello Jean hows the wife, I received a picture of Jerry really cute, I love him honey very much, Jean your letter was a great help, so interesting Jean. I get a great thrill reading your letters. I believe Jean I see you soon I would say about one year honey, that seem like a long time Jean, but it really isn't honey, I love you so much Jean I can wait along time honey. I realize that you can do the same honey that make me feel very nice. I hope Jean thing kept going just like they are, I like this outfit, I hope it last for duration I would be very satisfy. You were asking me about the shows here. honey I think you readed wrong or I wrote it wrong. the show here well honey I have seen places where they have them, but I never was to one. the only show I think I mention was the Air Raids. so I hope you understand I like to see a show, but I like those kinds too Honey I haven't mention much about this battle but I say one thing it tough, more than I though it would be, if thing goes like they are the marine core won't haven't any man, the army certainly sit down and let the marine get the worse end of thing, It a shame honey, a damn shame, my heart it really for the fellow on the front line, sometime I feel like I should be there, but still I have you and Jim & that mean alot to me. Well honey I will make this letter what I turn it in tonight and it will get home quicker, I love you darling, chin up, I see you soon. Love Russ P.S. Boy, that little boy can certainly do some telling writing! Whow?!!
