Dear Jean,
Hello, honey, Gee, honey, I am sorry there is so many days
between writing. I haven't received a letter from you or anyone
for a matter of fact. The last letter I received from you was
wrote the 23rd of Nov. So you see it been about a
month and about a week since I read a letter. Gee honey I wait
ever night just for mail and still no letter, as I told you in
this letter, not very many guys have had any mail. No
reason for it. I can't understand it. I am so damn mad being
refused on the emer. leave, and not even a letter to find
out what going on at home, so you can see it really kepting
me in supense.
Gee honey, I don't believe the day will ever come
when I get the [h???] out of this marine core. Ever since I
enter this services it just been a "big" raw deal. The
men here are not getting a good deal. The officers and
Staff N.C.O. are living like kings. Why should we bitch
when one American has it so much better than another
man. I honestly mean this they are just kepting us
men over here for nothing, no reason, they are playing
politics, while we are paying for it. I always thought this
was a fair world. Nothing fair about this and I never
forget it. I will agree on the man being here (safed)
a lot of people lives like I told you in the past
letter, but still they have lot of men that came in the
core for four yr. back in the states. They blame some
of it on transportation. But that out, we came across with
thousands of men on one ship we can go back that
way and be well satisfied. Gee honey if the peple
could see some of the things that go on overhere
they would be very well p-off. It really in bad shape,All
I can say about China is that it is a little better than the
islands we were on. Well honey I will close this kind of talk
and tell you something that make me feel better.
I guess someday I will get home. I suppose in
time. You will get tired of waiting, but I got there in
time. So kept up the chins honey. Cause darling I am
sure I show you a nice life. I love you so dearly
and I am sure it won't be too long. Boy what a day.
I am anxious to see you all and you darling. I just
can seem to realize what you look like anymore.
It been so long. I know you could change in looks
because beauty never leaves. Honey, the tough part of
things overhere are the memories of the past I spend
with you & the little boy. Oh, Hon, I praying for the
day to come near. I know it won't be too long. Just
kept up the faith , honey, I love you.
And, honey, I will fix up on your presents
this payday, I will send them home sometime next month so
I hope you like it. I sure you will. Honey there has
been a change in my address.Look at the letter and
use it from now on.
Well, honey, I am closing now. I hope dad
is better, honey.. Boy I sure would have like to
make it home. Tell Mother and the rest of family
I love them all. See you soon, I hope.
Love,
Ron
P.S. I wish I could live some of those past days over
once again. I am sure you would have been treated
like a queen. I am sure ashamed of the little
thing I did, but that is over with , and maybe, I get
(another) chance. I believe I should be a civilian by
the first of April. Anyway, that isn't too long, honey. I
wait for it and pray for it. I love you honey, and
God bless you.
