Thanksgiving Day Dear Jean, Well, honey, it a holiday here. I really don't know if thi is your Thanksgiving or not. We had a pretty good meal, the best I had since last Christmas, so it was not bad, I will (sent) you a menu card. It pretty nice. I pritty thankful on this for something. I glad I am (a live) and that i have such a nice family to go back to. They are pretty bad here on so many little thing. (Are) N.C.O. and officers are giving us a lot of cheap (s___). this morning (are) company fall out for (roll) call on this holiday. Only co that did. Had a inspection at 8:00. So you can see it very hard to kept up your morale. I like to take some good punches at some of these men. They call them that, but I can't see it. I quit this (grip) session. I got my trouble, and I suppose you got your so I kept most of mine to myself adn I feel better. I love you, darling The best news I can think of is I got about seven (letter) from you this evening. I love you for them. I can say much about some of them. Not that I don't love each letter you write; I mean is that I can't answer them because they were mostly just a note. I had a letter wrote the 19th of Nov. It was 5 pages long, and it was very nice. Gee, honey, as I told you many a time before, you letter are wonderful, and you write so many, and what get me is that you are afraid of hurting my feeling from (skiping) a day or two, you know, nothing you could ever do to hurt my feeling. I learn to much in last few years, and a lovely thought it is to know I love you so dearly. I glad to know Wilbert shot a fox. Must be quite _____. Excuse me Honey. thrill. I glad to hear that. Tell him I certainly enjoy a hunting day with him next year. You all must be certainly having some great times going dancing and playing cards and different thing you tell me you are doing. I glad to hear about them and it make my insides feel good to know what going on at home. So you think Don a bad dancer. Well, I don't know if I much better. I belive practice is what most of us needs. I hope to be much better in my future life at that recreation (then) was before. I hope your mail is coming lot better than it was before. You should be reeiving mail and the picture I sent you. I realize it very hard to write when you don't receive mail. I believe it will be lot better now. In your letter you were pretty burn up about us being here. I know how you feel the same way. We are all (finish) on the ducks. I guess we are going to get rid of them, guard duty, and lecture if different weapons we have is all we do which is plenty. It very cold right at the present and it make it very (misible) standing guard duty. So you can see we are burn up (to). It mostly a waste of time to us. We could be home, but NO, we are still wasting our lives away here. Well, I hope someday I be home, honey. I so lonesome for you and I need you so. I got so many plans ahead for us. A little farm, maybe another child, nice in so many things, and we get them (to) honey. You bet on that. I love you & the little one, and nothing I can do will show you how much I love you. Well, honey, I write tomorrow again. It about 9:00, and I very tired from the day I put in which wasn't much, play a little football which play me out. I love you, darling, and I am trying to hurry home, honey, but someone here don't see it that way.
