Dear Jean,
Hello, honey. Boy I am getting mad at this mail
situation. The only thing I received is a package from your
Grandmother and from Wilbert and was very pleased to
received them. I am writing them both fter I write to
you.All I want is a letter from you. Can't understand it
for no reason.
Well, honey, it a new year, and I pray for it
to be so much different than the last year I spent
away from you. Oh, darling, I am so lonesome for you. I
wait and wait for the day to come for us to meet one again
and forever. I seen the Stars & Stripes, a paper we have
in the armed service where 10,000 marines are (suppose)
to leave this area around sometime in the early part of "46"
I am sure I will be one of them. It not (to) bad, honey. I s
suppose you think all my letters are a big (grip) session, bu
it just the way I feel, and that the only way I can't write.
I have so many high plans for us, and just too anxious to
get out, I guess. I can't ask you many questions about home. I
hope Dad is improving. I did all I could to get home on the
emerg. leave which I (explain) in past letter. I hope (everthing)
has turned out for the best because I so anxious for (thing)
to be the same as they were when I left home.I bet
the boy is really quite a man. I am sure I can promise
you I be home within three months at least. I can
seem to see myself there, but I should make it.
How is the world treating you, honey. I try to build
up your (moral), and I break it down, I am sure of that
too. (Hows) the brothers doing. I bet they are having quite a time
aren't they. And Mother & Dad are happy aren't they honey. I
hope they are because (there) boys (where) lucky in this war
which I am sure you realize that. Give me the )scope), honey
OK.
Well, honey, I am closing this letter. You got the
new address from the last letter, I hope. I just doesn't
mean a thing. I pray for the time to fly by. I will see
you in the near future. I love you, honey, will write
soon again. Kept up the "chin".

P.S. I hipe you realize, Jean, in the past two years, I hav
(learn) a great deal, and I love you very (truely) and hope I can
show you. I haven't been the same since I left you and I (alway)
said you were part of me, and darling, I hope it soon when I can get
together with my better past again. It been a long time since I have
any loving from you and boy can you love [?] but really honey.
I love you more than anything that walks and pray for the time to
come near. I better stop this honey. I am about to get in a bad mood.
