My dear Seneca,
No letter from you
to night but think there will
be one tomorrow. Wonder if you
were in Hiram or Troy over Sunday.
I wonder how you ever got there.
What miserable storms we have
had. The roads are terrible, about
five in. of snow fell they think.
Yesterday the boys went to church
about 30 there. Frank Winters came
home with them and to dinner.
Bernice went away with Hine
Frieve. Mister Lyon had a little
party for his class. A nice time,
I guess. Elmer says he went up
to Johnie Hays after Elsie, but
according to reports it was the
preacher's daughter. He don't say.
He looked pretty fine if he is our
boy. Well, we had a letter from
Aunt Mim to day at Aunt Esther.
She left here at twelve o-clock
Wed night and at two Thurs
was at Aunt E's. Only twelve hours
in the car. The longest wait
was at Ash–one hour and five
minutes, only twenty-five min-
utes at Jackson. I cannot realize she
is so far away. O yes we are
all invited out Christmas for dinner
at Benton Whistons, you can
Berlie if he comes, too.
No particular news just now. Only
getting ready for Literary Fri
eve, and the Christmas tree
next week. That is flurishing well.
Going to kill the beef this week
so will have something for you
to eat, ain't you glad. We have
had some nice beef from Alex's
and Fred's. The boys are all
sleepy and I guess I am too.
Truman has had a terrible cold.
Stayed in two days last week.
Is some better now. A good many
out of school last week. Sick.
Will say good night for now.
Tues morn. Was going to write
some but the wagon is coming.
Will see you and lots of love
from your mother.
Anna Partridge
Be careful about getting cold.
