Dear Rose + Jerry (or Terry),
I had a very pleasant surprise
yesterday for I received a very nice birthday
gift and card from you, Jerry (or Terry) and Bud. Thank
you very much. Rose I am sure that I will
get much use and pleasure from the gift
and I certainly appreciate you thinking of me.
How is everything in the "burg"? I hope
you, Terry (or Jerry) and your Mother are all well. I
have been able to keep track of you through
Freda's letters. She writes to me every day +
I shall think she is the best wife in the
world.
I hear from Bud occasionally and Mariane (Maurice?)
has been keeping me posted on his ship. I
hope he gets home again before he leaves.
My regards to your Mother + Terry (or Jerry).
