A framed print depicting drawings of the Newcomb House [c. 1859], Town Hall [1902], End of the Commons Store [c.1840], Lyman House [1833], and Three Churches [1888] all drawn by Edmund R. Collens.
There is also a short history on the Commons that reads,
'Mesopotamia is a typical Western Reserve
settlement dating from 1800. The deed
for the Commons was made out in 1806.
The older entire center of the town has
been included in the National Register of
Historic Places, and was among the first
towns so recorded. All but two of the
houses around the Commons are over 100
year old. The Civil Warr monument was carved by the local artist Howard Brigden,
and was dedicated in 1867.'Acquisition
