This is the west side and south end of the Porterville freight depot. THe freight room is at the south end of the building. The agent's office was located at the north end. The second floor at one time containted an apartment for the agent and his family. Note the train order signal mast. At the time this photograph was taken Porterville was an open agency with a train order office. The main line of the Exeter branch is in the foreground. This view looks northeast.
