TP9138Description
Black & white photograph of an elderly bearded gentleman dressed in a fancy suit, holding a hat in his right hand. In his left hand is a cane and appears to be clutching a handkerchief in the same hand. Amongst his attire is a vest, jacket, a kerchief at his neck and a watch fob tucked into his breast pocket.
He is standing in a dirt road with shrubbery at his left and some buildings behind him. A short wall, possibly for a bridge is behind him.
The photograph is mounted onto cardboard. Handwritten on the card, below the the photograph reads, "A Relic -" in black ink.
Per Jim Prunetti: "I'm pretty sure the "Relic" is Giovanni (John) Oneto, who's daughter married my great uncle and their son, Odillo Restano, eventually became mayor of Sonora.... The time period is probably very late 1890's to 1901."Collection
