pastel-colored map with color legend showing lands and ROW from Tuolumne to Camp 44; prepared by Art Ronten (Kauppi description) This map displays a mature transportation system in that most of the company lands are within the easy reach of a road or a railroad. The lands are colored coded to show ownership or cutover status. The current railroad runs to Cherry Creek with a spur running down into Skunk Creek and Camp 45 and 39 between Skunk Creek and Reed Creek. Truck roads fill in where the railroad doesn't reach. Truck roads have crossed Cherry Creek and accessed all the area up to Yosemite National Park Boundary. To the North they have reached to Lilly Creek, Hull Creek, Trout Creek, and the Upper Clavey River. To the south they have worked to Murphy's Ranch, Quilty Mill, Bull Meadow and Meyer Ranch. Camp 8 (Nashton) is on one of the tributaries of Basin Creek.at mile post 11.5. Camp 10 is on a spur (abandoned) and a southern tributary of Basin Creek and a logging road. Camp 9 is along the mainline on a Basin Creek tributary and past mile post 15. Camp 16 is on Cottonwood Creek at mile post 19.5. Camp 21 is on the ridge between Cottonwood Creek and Hull Creek. Camp 23 is on a tributary of Hull Creek close to the center of section 15. Hull Creek Camp is at Funks Meadow. Camp 24 is on the North side of Hull Creek in the SE corner of section 10. Camp 25 is in Two Mile Creek in the second tributary (south) at an abandoned spur. Camp 27 is on the east side of the Clavey River at mile post 40.5 where two abandoned spurs go south. Camp 30 is located in 76 Creek just before an abandoned spur goes upstream. Camp 36 is located just past mile post 48 above Reed Creek right before an abandoned spur goes downstream. Camp 38 is in Bear Creek at mile post 52,5 just before a short abandoned spur going upstream. Camp 40 is at mile post 57.5 along Jawbone Creek. Camp 43 is on a tributary of Jawbone Creek at mile post 61.5. Camp 44 is located below Woods Ridge at about mile post 66.7. That's the last of the Camps along the current tracks. There are many others scattered through the woods. They were along tracks at one time. Starting in T3N and R17E in section 28 in the NE corner we have Camp 22. In Section 26 along lily Creek is Lilly Creek Camp. In section 30 of R18E is Camp 31 in the NW corner adjacent to Hull Creek. In section 11 of T2N is camp 35 on an abandoned spur in Little Reynolds Creek. In section 10 is Camp 33 on Lost Creek on abandoned spur. In section 32 of T3N is Camp 25 on an abandoned spur on the Clavey River (west side). In the south section of section 36 is camp 34 in Two Mile Creek on an abandoned spur. In the NE section of section 33 on an abandoned spur in Wrights Creek is Camp 20. Moving back down to T2N again in SE section of section 9 is Camp 17 near Fahey Meadow. In the SW corner of section 8 is Camp 18 between the forks of two logging roads. Again in section 8 in the NW area on a stream and logging road is Camp 19. Continuing with T2N R17E section 33 NE 1/4 is Camp 12 just below the road intersections. In the SW 1/4 of section 27 at Thompson Meadow is Camp 15. Moving to Range 18E T2N section 30 almost in the center on an abandoned spur along the east side of the Clavey River is Camp 29. Camp 28 is in the NW corner of section 32 on a tributary of Reed Creek on an abandoned spur. In the very east line of section 26 is Camp 41 on a tributary of Jawbone Creek on an abandoned spur. In section 36 NE 1/4 east of Crane Meadow is Camp 42. Its on an abandoned spur. T1N R18E. Section 4 near the center, is camp 39. On an abandoned spur along Skunk Creek. Camp 45 is in the north of section 8 at the terminus of an abandoned spur between Reed and Skunk Creeks. T1N R17E section 3 NW 1/4 is Camp 13 on a tributary of Cottonwood Creek.
