P37839Description
The Hetch Hetchy Railroad Tour Bus. The railroad had open air touring cars (five) passenger cars for carrying passengers but did have a need for transporting smaller numbers especially high level company personnel and politicians on tours of the facilities. They did have inspection cars but they could only carry a couple passengers so something larger was needed. Hence the tour bus. The Hetch Hetchy Railroad was constructed to support the construction of the dam in Hetch Hetchy Valley in Yosemite National Park.
