P37645Description
Negative for photo TP17664. Sierra RR passenger coach, assumed to be #3. It would be 57 feet in length and could carry 58 passengers, according to "A Railroad Transplant, The Sierra Railway Company of California" by Richard Rosenquist. This work is dated 1988, which postdates any passenger coach possession by that company. (Meaning they would have not bought any more, since then). It was Dubbed the Stanislaus and was rather well finished having oak furnishings with red plush upholstery. It was of wood construction with a metal roof cap. It was valued at $4640 when new in 1932. The Jameston warehouse/depot can be seen in the background.Collection
