pen and ink drawing of box factory floor plan (Kauppi description) This is a very nice drawing of the box factory in blue ink on white paper. It shows three rooms in good detail. The fuel house has a sawdust conveyor in the middle and it has a three horse power motor on the outside wall powering the conveyor. The boiler room is the next room. This room has no details.. Starting at the left side of the box factory at the upper left corner on the outside there is a ramp up into the box factory set at an angle. At the lower left on the outside there is a set of steps which lead up to a walkway along the outside of the building. On the inside There is a band ripsaw with a 15 horsepower (HP) motor. Next are two sash cut-offs with a 5 HP motor. Over towards the west wall is a scrap planer with a 50 HP motor. Next near the east wall is a matcher - edger with a 100 HP motor. Next to the North a little is a set of chains carrying pieces to three different cutoffs Next on the east wall there is an office with a block conveyor feeding to a bin outside. Moving North again we have 2 cleat machines with a 60 HP motor and after that a hand hold machine. To the west of the cleat machines is a pony planer and then a band ripsaw with a 15 HP motor. West of that is a single resaw with a 40 HP motor. To the west of that was a single resaw and in line with that twin resaws and a Felder - beveler.
