Description

Sierra Railroad. This is a photo negative for TP17717 of a flatcar. It does not appear to be in the Jamestown yard. Its number can only be partially read as #12, although it looks like 128. According to "A Railroad Transplant, The Sierra Railway Company of California" by Richard Rosenquist this car was probably purchaed from the Virgin and Truckee RR in about 1900. There is a bulletin board on the first building in the back. The title is "MOFR Bulletin Board." The second building looks a bit like a hoist housing with its odd shape. Beyond it are an old rail coach and an old boxcar assembled into an office or warehouse facility. Beyond that is another something with a stove pipe but it's too distant to make out. There is a tank car parked on the siding but some distance away from the flat car.
