The is posed leaning on an upholstered chair, arms crossed, with right elbow resting on chair back, subject is wearing tweed frock coat with moderate lapels. Dark trousers, white shirt with wing collar and dark ascot secured with jewelled stick pin, cuffs are shot below the coat sleeves, he has a white flower in his lapel, his hair is trimmed short above his ears, parted on the left and combed to the right. Photo is placed on a "tortoise" shell mat.
