25-R Depot and street at Standard for Laughter in Hell, Sept 1932. Leonard Ruoff - Freight station is in the center. Track on the left went to shops. Building on right was Daughtery Tire until recently (2015). Next building had four businesses, electriclal , clothing, butcher shop, grocery store. Company owned stores. Later a larger store was built by the company and run by Pechinnio. In the early 1970s the County Superintendent of School had 4 class rooms, for Curtis Creek. The students went to these classrooms in the morning and then changed to the regular school for the afternoon and vise versa. The car in front of the freight depot was a Model T and was used by the night watchman to check out the 12 different fire stations that were around the lumber yard, mill and town. Each location had a machine that had a key. He would insert the key into the machine and it would record the time that he checked in. This way they could make sure that he did his job.
