Description

January 18, 1932. South Washington Street, Sonora, CA, west side of street. Overhead banner displaying the movie {Over the Hill ) which was filmed in Sonora starring James Dunn and Sally Eilers. Buildings L-R Bromley Sanitarium, Bromley home, converted to office building and Telephone Company. On the left side of the picture one can see the Mark Twain, Bret Harte marker, which was located in the center of the street and now located on the east side of the street across from the Operal Hall. Parking was allowed in the center of the street.
