The original bell tower was replaced with the current steeple around 1900. The single concrete staircase leading to the doors of the church
was built in 1910. In the early 1900’s the stained glass windows were installed, as well as the Whalley Pipe Organ which is still in use today. At the back of the church, you
will find the last remaining original hitching post in Sonora, a reminder of the faithful
pioneers who worshipped here.Collection
