Description

Khaki color cloth Japanese field cap, Ryaku-bō (略帽). Made of four pieces of cloth with a cloth band just above the brim. An adjustable string on the back allows for the size to change based on head size. Charles Johnson acquired this cap from a Japanese prisoner of war in Saipan. The soldier signed his name on the inside. The ink has faded dramatically since the war. A rough translation is written on the outside: "Omine Jiho"
