"Dear Ma and Pa, I think I can get this mailed so will take a chance. How have you all been? I have surely missed being home this winter but maybe next time in I can get some leave. It was the first time I have been in New York for anytime so I went to a couple of shows and had a pretty good time. I went to the depth Bar at the Grand Central and ate my share. How is all the family? Ann said she was going into some driving outfit. I would sure put a stop to that if I were you. I have seen a lot of pretty country since I talked to you, you would like it. Write to me and give me all the news. I didn't get a chance to send the watch back but may be able to soon. Who should I mail it to? Love and kisses - Pete"
