"U.S.S. Leopold (DE-319)
c/o Fleet Post Office
New York City
Dear Daddy,
I haven't had a chance to write before. I have never been so busy in all my life. It is killing me. We all have to work 'til 1 or 2 o'clock every night and then up again at 6 in the morning.
We have a swell ship and a swell skipper.
I'll write more details later when I have more time.
Will you see that Jane takes some kind of care of my car. Write me soon - Pete"
