A small rectangular wood mask depicting a figure with ivory skin and crimson-red blush accents on cheeks, forehead, and nose. The gold-highlighted black hair is styled with a front knot and diagonal incised lines. One set of cutout eyeholes is outlined with painted lashes. The other set, presumably for the wearer, is under thin, painted eyebrows. A raised, straight nose is above a closed mouth with thin, ruby-red lips. A wire and fraying pink rope are attached to the back of the mask. Various signs of paint chipping and wood damage.Context
