A life-sized circular wood mask depicting a canary-yellow lion with a black mane decorated with incised lines. Rounded upright ears extend from the top of the head. Inset brown eyes with black lashes are underneath a pronounced brow and two cutout eyeholes for the wearer. A large nose has red nostrils and black painted whiskers. The mouth is open and showing white teeth. A wire and rope are attached to the back of the mask. Some signs of pigment loss.Context
