Suitcase, used by New England Telephone & Telegraph Co. to carry tools, metal, tan with dark metal hinges, 12 x 6 ½ x 18, donated by Elizabeth Brown

Context

This particular metal suitcase was used to carry tools in an open truck in the 1920s by James Patrick Brown. Brown was a New England Telephone & Telegraph Co. cable splicer from 1916 - 1959. He was stationed in St. Johnsbury, VT for most of that time. These notes were written and contributed, along with the metal suitcase, by Elizabeth H. Brown, James Patrick Brown's wife.
