Context

1784 Revision of James Anderson's seminal work. It contains a foldout of the old Freemasons' Hall at the Connaught Rooms in London with Faith, Hope, and Charity descending in a glory onto a Master's table flanked by globes. Foldout was engraved by F. Bartolozzi.

From invoice (#01756): Preserve as much spine as possible. Remove Library tab if possible. Plan B is to preserve label only. Stabilize the edges. Endsheets: Test the possibility of standard cloth joint tape under paste down. Will contact Adam with Plan B, which will be to overlay the cloth joint onto board. Foldout: guard and repair tears and folds. Test one side only with tissue across image. test by extending tear. Fix slightly onto top left forner of image.
