Notes

Humorously annoted, adding in pencil "Grandiloquent" before the authors name, and after it, "Prof. of Pomposity." Additionally, following a list of grand officers of NY who authorized the work, "and so far as usefulness to the Craft is concerned the work may be closed as a Grand Humbug." At the end there appears to be initials: "A-C-P." Lastly, a card has been inserted by a libraian describing the book: "This MASONIC MANUAL, mpre [sic] than 100 years old, contains some of the very early odes, songs and anthems used by the brethren in earliest operative days."
