Description

Ceramic cream pitcher with mottled brown glaze. The pitcher has bulbous lower body with a long, convex neck that culminates in a wide pouring spout. The body is molded with a low-relief design of a grapevine. The handle is in the shape of a twisted grape vine. The neck is slightly fluted. The spout is molded with a man's head framed at the top with acanthus or oak leaves and at the bottom with a pointed beard.
