Overshot, or floatwork, cotton and wool coverlet woven in a windowpane plaid pattern. The coverlet is woven from olive green and natural brown 2-ply wool and cotton, with the wool used for the floats and the cotton for the tabby. The coverlet is constructed of two panels, sewn together up the center along the selvedge. Three sides are decorated with a leno fringe that includes a narrow strip of overshot detached from the main body.Context
