Trade Sign, 1948 Bagley Metal, paint Harry R. Everett and Nelson C. Bowles founded Everett & Bowles Coal in 1927. Early on they made coal deliveries with a horse-drawn wagon. In 1930 they added ice deliveries in order to keep the business going over the summer months. Nelson's son Dick ran the company until he sold it in 1962.
