Description

Cream-colored silk ribbon with a metal bar across the top and a round metal medallion hanging from the bottom. The top bar is printed with the inscription, "St. Albans, Vt." The ribbon is printed in black with the inscription, "VERMONT Dairymen's Association ANNUAL MEETING JAN. 4, 5, 6 & 7 1898". The bottom edge of the ribbon is gathered to the center and secured around a metal ring. From the ring hangs a round metal button printed with an image of a man in 16th-century dress and the inscription, "COMPLIMENTS OF THE FRANKLIN COUNTY VT CREAMERY". The reverse of the medallion is printed with the inscription, "WORLD'S COLUMBIAN EXPOSITION IN COMMEMORATION OF THE FOUR HUNDREDTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE LANDING OF COLUMBUS MDCCCXCII - MDCCCXCIII TO FRANKLIN COLK VERMONT CREAMERY ASSN."
